He has over 20 years of experience in the development and application of computational tools in various fields related to Biotechnology, with a direct impact on drug discovery and design from natural sources.

Prof. Felix received his M.Sc. (2006) and Ph.D. (2009) degrees in Computer Science from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics (major in Nuclear Techniques) from the University of Havana, Cuba in 1980. Since 1997 he has worked at Universidad Panamericana campus Mexico City. His research interests are focused on developing new algorithms for Optimization, Quantum Computing, Applied Data Science and Mobile Robotics.
